Mr. Zhao Dongfeng is a board member of International Construction Law Association (“ICLA “), Executive Director of International Construction Law Program of Peking University, expert of China Association of International Engineering Consultants Expert Committee, expert of China International Contractors Association, expert of China Society for World Trade Organization Studies and China Association for International Economic Cooperation, arbitrator of Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration, deputy dean of Society of International Trade and Foreign Business Law of Fengtai District of Beijing; member of China Law Society and the managing partner of Beijing JustFaith Law firm.
Mr. Zhao graduated from Peking University Law School. Before practicing as a lawyer, Mr. Zhao worked in one top Chinese leading international contractors listed ENR225 and in charge of contract management, legal management and survey management of several extra large-scale overseas projects and accumulated extensive experience in the management of overseas on-site project. Prior to setting up Beijing JustFaith Law firm, Mr. Zhao had practiced for around 8 years in a world renowned international law firm.
Mr. Zhao has provided professional legal service for projects in more than 50 countries. Regarding international construction arbitration and dispute settlement, Mr. Zhao is among one of few Chinese lawyers who have considerable experience of ICC arbitration, UNCITRAL arbitration and Litigation in project host countries.
Mr. Zhao has been invited by several top universities as lecturer on international construction law and was appointed by dozens of training and consulting institutions of international construction and numerous international construction companies as the expert lecturer.
Mr. Zhao was appointed by China International Contractors Association to represent Chinese international construction industry to provide advice and feedback to FIDIC Contract Conditions (2017) Pre-Release Version; Mr. Zhao Dongfeng was also invited by King’s College, the Association of Consultant Architects and Association of Consultancy and Engineering to review the PPC Alliance Contracts.
