Professor Kanayama is currently the Professor of Civil Law at Keio University Law School, located in Tokyo, Japan. Having been educated in both the United States (Knox College) and in Japan, Prof. Kanayama is uniquely suited to research and comment on critical areas of international law. Dr. Kanayama is an expert in contract law, arbitration, French law, and international private law. He has also been a Visiting Professor at l’École Normale Supérieure de Paris (2006), l’Université de Paris II (2008, 2017, 2018), and the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris (Sciences-Po) (2018).
