Dr. Takashi Ogura is a Professor of Faculty of law in Doshihsa University, Kyoto, Japan.  Before joining to Doshisha University, Dr. Ogura has 36 year experience in TAISEI CORPORATION, Tokyo, JAPAN, which is one of top five contractor for Civil Engineering and Building projects.

He holds LLB from The University of Tokyo (1983) and Master of Comparative Law from George Washington University in Washington, D.C (1989).

He obtained the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Law from Kobe university in 2019.

He has been in Indonesia (1993-7) and visited Africa, Europe, Middle East, Asia-Pacific, USA and Central America.

As General Counsel of Taisei Construction Corporation in California (2005 – 2008), he was involved in litigations, arbitrations and mediations there.

He was the Immediate Past Chairman of Contract Administration Committee of the Overseas Construction Association of Japan, Inc. (OCAJI) and the member up to March 2019.

He was a member of the Committee of Preparation for Establishment of the Japan International Mediation Center -Kyoto.  He has been registered as Attorney at Law (New York) since 2002 and CEDR Accredited Mediator since 2017.
